Indonesia has announced its goal to become the leading digital economy in Southeast Asia, and the government is working hard to drive foreign investments and innovation in the country. In line with this goal, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and Tech Mahindra have established the Center of Excellence (CoE) Lab, backed by Google Cloud, to expedite digital transformation in Indonesia.
The CoE lab, built in Jakarta, will maximize the use of advanced technologies, such as Data Analytics, Edge Computing, 5G, Augmented Reality (AR), and Virtual Reality (VR). The lab aims to feed precise data to Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that will help in offering tailored and improved experiences to consumers as they go through their buying journey.
The partnership between Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Tech Mahindra, and Google Cloud will leverage the resources of Tech Mahindra’s intellectual property (IP) and Google Cloud’s ML and AI to help innovate businesses and increase efficiency and productivity. The use of 5G technology will also help create new products, services, and business models that will boost revenue while optimizing the value of data.
Google Cloud VP, Karan Bajwa, expressed his excitement about the CoE lab and Smart Analytics partnership, stating that it is aimed at regulating industries and improving talent to avoid data interruption with the help of the network of open data cloud and analytics, also AI.
Managing Director and CEO of Tech Mahindra, CP Gurnani, also highlighted the importance of the CoE lab, stating that the creation of the lab is a vital step in making the partnership with Indosat stronger. It will also help with expanding the companies’ presence in Indonesia, providing additional opportunities for both brands and consumers.
The President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Vikram Sinha, emphasized that they are looking at the partnership to better customer experiences. The lab will help to feed more precise data to CSPs, which will, in turn, offer tailored and improved experiences to customers as they go through their buying journey.
The establishment of the Center of Excellence (CoE) Lab in Jakarta marks an important milestone for Indonesia’s objective of becoming a leading digital economy in Southeast Asia.
